WHAT HAPPENED?
Nwaneri became the youngest player in Premier League history aged just 15 years and 181 days when he came on in the dying minutes of a 3-0 win against Brentford in September 2022. The following day, he had to submit his GCSE English homework.

WHAT NWANERI'S TEACHER SAID
His teacher, Elle Bewley, told : “I'm not joking, he just walked into school on Monday, gave me his homework, sat down and got on with it. No discussion, no distraction. Nothing.”

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The cameo against Brentford was Nwaneri's only senior appearance that season and he made one more in the 2023-24 campaign. This season, though, Mikel Arteta has called on him regularly, handing the teenager 29 appearances in all competitions.
