WHAT HAPPENED?
It was announced earlier this week that Guardiola is set to remain at the club and sign a new one-year contract, with the option of a further year. And now, the club are poised to offer Haaland a huge new deal as they bid to tie him down too, despite the prospect of relegation from the top-flight if found guilty of 115 alleged financial breaches.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Haaland is contracted until 2027 and currently earns £375,000-per-week before bonuses. His weekly wage means he earns £20m ($25m) per season and a four-year extension would see him earn over £100m before bonuses are factored in.

DID YOU KNOW?
City are also likely to open talks with Ballon d'Or winner Rodri over a new deal, although they face a decision over Kevin De Bruyne, as his deal expires this summer. If he were to stay, he would likely need to accept a pay cut, but negotiations may be informed by the fact he can speak with foreign clubs from January onwards.
